The Chakra Mallets by Olli Hess are designed to provoke effects in certain chakras to support your energy work while playing your gong(s).

The color of each half of the mallet is correlated to the chakra it represents. All chakra gong mallets except for the violet one have different grades of thickness / softness on each of their sides producing two different acoustic effects by using just one mallet.

These mallets are especially suitable for advanced gong playing and for adding new qualities to your sound bouquet.

The violet (Crown chakra) one is very dense inside (ziemlich harter Anschlag) and also suitable for working with singing bowls. It would not replace a PGM-M70 (similar size) e.g. for handheld gongs as this one produces far softer and more gentle tones which are needed when playing so close to peoples’ bodies.
