MY WAY TO THE GONGS

19 years & counting of nurturing my heart with love, with life, with the most beautiful vibrations and meaningful experiences that spill over, expressing themselves in sound for you

2004 First Encounter

“There’s no way back”

As an adolescent a school exchange brought me to the South of India. I loved absorbing the vibrancy of this miraculous place and witnessed for the first time the immense power of sound while chanting mantras and playing sacred sounds. I was deeply fascinated; my perspective on life had changed forever. I realized there is a multitude of worlds out there waiting to be explored!

2011 It’s getting real

“I can have it all and more”

London. Paris. New York. Buenos Aires. And many more. Within a few years I reached the frequent flyer silver status. Having a successful career in the premium furniture sector, I truly loved what I was doing. It felt incredible to be achieving at such a high level, going into stores on the search for outfits that would match my experience and make me look older yet cool. I loved the lifestyle I had created, but a part of me still felt empty and my longing to fill this gap grew bigger with time. I wasn’t done searching..

2015 Met the Gongs

“Infinite Love at first Sound”

I continued my interior design studies, gave up being woken by the sound of an alarm in the morning and started actively exploring the fields of yoga and meditation in the search for answers. Vani Levi (Frecuencia Gong) enchanted my senses while playing the gongs in the relaxation phase of a Kundalini yoga class. I instantly felt a deep resonance as I opened myself to these new sounds. The very same day I enrolled in a workshop to learn how to play the gongs.

After the first day of my initiation into playing the gongs I began meditating every day for 1000 consecutive days (also accompanied by yogic practices and nutritional experiments). I discovered an inner voice that helped me break out of old habits and create healthy new ones. I was rewarded with a fine-tuned intuition, receiving clear signals from my body and establishing a foundation of all-pervasive inner peace.

Ever since this time, I’ve been giving individual and group sound meditations, organizing and playing at large events, giving workshops and puja nights. Words can’t express how good it feels to be creating these experiences for others.

2018 Back to Berlin

“From being lost to found in one year”

My first home was calling me to reconnect. Moving back to Berlin honestly wasn’t easy. I found myself floating in a sense of disconnection as I had just packed the prior 8 years into 3 suitcases, leaving my second home behind. My 1000 days of meditation were completed. My heart was torn in pieces.

Luckily, promising experiences awaited me. An opportunity presented itself to study Advanced Gong Master and Teacher Trainings with Don Conreaux, one of the Grand Gong Masters of our times. This was a huge inspiration and immediately took my gong playing to the next level.

In addition, I was designing offices for large German companies. I had anticipated to improve workplaces but it felt like creating industrial livestock farms for humans. I realized I needed to abandon this path that was not serving my greater vision.

2020 Stop ‘n’ Gong

The only constant is change.

2020 being marked by the pandemic brought tremendous transformation and new challenges. It was tough to have to stop giving live sessions from one day to another and to see a fully booked agenda wiped out.

It was time to apply the Argentinian mindset for dealing with the unpredictable intrusions in daily life. This meant living in the moment and showing gratitude for what is there.

I definitely needed a lot of personal time to process this year. Luckily, Gong MEM Yoga became a supportive practice next to truly amazing family and friends!

Looking back now I am completely wowed: I discovered the fields of gong recording and sound designing which have become my new creative outlets. Various albums have been produced and released. A new generation of meditation is in development. Powerful collaborations have opened new portals. Playing outdoors is breathtakingly beautiful.

2008 Self Search

“Study hard, party harder”

I didn’t know what I wanted to do after school and tried out a bit of everything. Following my inner guidance I ended up creating and installing haute couture mosaics in a boutique studio, financing my “International Business Management”studies at Berlin School of Economics and Law. We were a small, international, ambitious group and partied a lot on top! Multiple doors would open to the life that lay in front of me:

2010 First Answers

“I belong to the world”

Without giving it much thought I went to Buenos Aires for my exchange year, hardly anticipating that this place would become my second home on the planet. This city of furies gave me so many opportunities to explore myself, to meet incredibly inspiring people (genios totales), to learn the art of improvisation (lo atamos con alambre), thereby weaving my dreams into existence out of air (tejer en el aire) and incorporating this lightness of being (me chupa un huevo). But before all this I had to trust life and cross the ocean a few more times:

2014 The Plot thickens

¡¡¡¿ WHO AM I ?!!!

So I ended up working long hours remotely from Argentina + traveling weeks on end for my job + studying Interior Design at uni at night + having a relationship + pursuing a social life, fitness goals and hobbies. Well.. it worked for a few years until I crashed. Luckily, I was able to quit this rat race and focus on only one question:

¿What do I want in my life?

2017 Officially porteña forever

“Vamos!”

In this year many dreams came true for me. I graduated as interior designer and received my permanent Argentinian visa, officially making it my second home forever. Also, the answer to my question had surfaced:

Wake up every day, be and do what you love.

Mut wird immer belohnt.

Courage is always rewarded.

A new project came to me through friends. We rolled out the first mats in the first Green Yoga studio. I introduced my gongs, and wow, I was overwhelmed by positive responses! Rapidly, this wave expanded (maybe because my Jupiter gong came to me in Berlin! ;)

“Going all in.”

I quit my job, dedicating my time and energy to making people truly happy. I wanted to make a positive impact on our planet.

After much expressed interest, I began teaching gong playing. This motivated me to deepen my knowledge and skills in sound healing and its related fields. It fills my heart to spread the joy that this work brings me.

Gigs at international and corporate events followed while my colleagues and I established regular gong meditations at numerous locations in Berlin. It was a strenuous year full of long working hours and minimal rest. Nevertheless, I am beyond grateful how everything turned out!

2021 Walk in Faith

“Little do we know as the possibilities of the universe are infinite.”

Let’s find out what this year will bring. I wish for strong, honest and mutually supportive relations and cooperations, beautiful and inspiring surprises, feelings of deep connection with others and finally, bringing beauty and joy to this planet.

The previous years have proven that life has a way of meaningfully unfolding. At the moment, I trust life’s plan by walking in faith, envisioning only the best and keeping up the good vibes.

I use this year to align more deeply with the cycles of nature while integrating the knowledge and skills I have accumulated. Finally, I welcome many, many, many meetings with you so that we may all benefit from another.

I will keep guiding you towards yourself through the sounds of the universe.

Let’s be in touch!

Yours,

Frida
