PUBLIC SPEAKING WITHOUT FEAR

Gong Meditation & Rhetoric Training to Strengthen Your Confidence

The fear of public speaking is a commonly shared problem. It can stifle us at crucial moments when we finally have the attention of the audience we have long sought: Suddenly our mouth is dry, our hands are shaking and the mind goes blank. We push ourselves and continue to seize speaking opportunities, we learn our speeches by heart and repeat over and over to ourselves that there is no reason to suffer from stage fright, yet the problem persists.

In this workshop, we will benefit from the relaxation induced by gong meditation to face our fear mindfully. In a community inspired by loving kindness we will observe the reaction of our nervous system to the stress of public speaking and slowly find an authentic, spontaneous expression of ourselves in front of others. One essential element in this transition is that we learn to perceive public speaking not as an ego struggle against ruthless critics but as a way of sharing valuable knowledge and insight with friendly people who are a lot like us.

I am pleased to offer this workshop in collaboration with Valentin Zahrnt. Dr. Valentin Zahrnt offers rhetorics trainings which are all about authenticity, not rules.
